Night of the Hunt VR is a free Windows mod that runs Sony's 2015 PS4 game Bloodborne in a PC VR headset with six-degree-of-freedom tracking and motion-controlled trick weapons. The project shipped its first public build on October 16 and tagged v0.8.5 on October 31, its 25th GitHub release in sixteen days.
I haven't played it. This is based on the GitHub releases and README, NotAGameAddict's YouTube capture, and UnflatVR's listing.
Emulator plus VR layer
The mod bundles its own VR build of the shadPS4 PS4 emulator. You point the launcher at a folder with Bloodborne version 1.09 (eboot.bin). The README says no separate shadPS4 install is needed. The team ships no game files.
Combat is built for hands, not a gamepad overlay. The README lists physical swings, two-handed grips, split Blade of Mercy / Rakuyo blades, lean-or-duck soft dodges, shoulder weapon swaps and a gun hand for parries. Lost.Media.Prophet's Oct 16 launch video shows the first public drop.

What's new in 0.8.5
The v0.8.5 release notes read less like a patch list and more like a small VR game update:
- Menu: nine in-headset tabs (You, Controls, Combat, Items, HUD, Picture, Upscaling, Difficulty, Save), with a second page when a tab overflows.
- Soft save (experimental): freeze your run from the Save tab and, after death, choose that moment or the last lantern.
- Monocular: a zoomable spyglass with wrist-turn zoom up to 5× and a trigger ring up to 6×.
- Free camera: fly the view while the hunter stays put; Y snaps back.
- Hand lantern: a lit cage you carry or stow on your belt.
- Onboarding: new installs get an upscaler matched to the GPU; the Play page shows a framed resolution warning and a RUN PERF SCAN button.
Earlier October builds added DLSS 5 hooks (bring your own signed NVIDIA file), reworked two-handed weapon weight, duck dodges with a brief invincibility window, and fixes for Yharnam HUD glitches. The pace matches other motion-control conversions we've covered this month, like Dead Space 2 VR and Spidy.
Grab 0.8.5 or newer if you install today. The README still warns that the first launch may stutter while shaders compile.
