Spidy is a free mod that turns Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC into a full VR game. You fire webs with your hands and swing with your arms. Since its October 7 alpha, Ilya Mezerowsky has shipped 29 GitHub releases. Version 0.6.0 landed October 27, and Nathie posted on October 29 that it's "an absolute blast."
I haven't played it. This is based on the GitHub repo and releases, Mezerowsky's posts and videos, and Nathie's playthrough.
What it does
Insomniac's game has no VR mode. The README says Spidy "renders two extra scene views through the game's own renderer, one per eye, at the headset's resolution and lens". Swinging is "Spidy's own rope physics steering the game's mover against the game's collision world". Webs, thrown props and punches are "the game's own systems, fed from your tracked hands."
- Swinging: grip fires a web where that hand points, trigger reels in, a sharp pull zips.
- Combat: a punch at a ringed enemy "up to 10 m off flies you in to strike," and arrows call the next blow.
- Body: look down and you see Spider-Man. A T-pose sizes him to your height and arm length.

Three weeks of builds
Mezerowsky wrote at launch that he built it "solo, with a LOT of AI help". The README's tip pitch says the same: "Spidy is built with a lot of AI help, and those tokens are the bill."
It hasn't stayed solo. Five outside contributors have merged pull requests, adding Linux support, wall climbing, arm-driven flips and a two-hand web slingshot. On October 22 he posted: "27 releases. 20+ creators. 21M views on IGN's reel. Players building features and porting it to Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2." His October 19 post included "a peek at Miles Morales VR, ported by Jimjam094."
Open on XVersion 0.6.0 keeps nearby buildings at full detail while you swing. It also adds optional eye aiming on headsets like the Quest Pro, so "web balls and zips go where you look," per the release notes.
What Nathie found
Nathie found it "satisfying to play, but it is also pretty hard to master". His advice: "You do need to tweak the settings a lot to make this fun for yourself". He warned that players prone to motion sickness should "make sure you know what you're starting." Some special moves still drop out of VR. After one, he said: "you can't do in VR, so it just switches to a pancake version."
