Roblox Deletes Halo and Left 4 Dead Ports, and More Keep Coming

Roblox deleted viral console-game ports, claimed to be AI-built, within a day of appearing, but Elden Ring and Xbox 360 tributes were still live October 29.

Console games started showing up inside Roblox on October 26: a PS4-style dashboard, Left 4 Dead, Halo: Combat Evolved. Roblox began deleting them within a day. New ones, an Elden Ring boss fight and an Xbox 360 dashboard, were still live on October 29.

I haven't played them. This is based on the clips on X, press coverage and Roblox's public game pages.

What showed up

Roblox YouTuber KreekCraft posted most of the clips. "So they got PlayStation games on Roblox now," he wrote, crediting @SirDapper. SirDapper replied: "NAH I JUST FOUND CS:GO IT'S OVER BRO".

Left 4 Dead followed the next morning. His clip shows Left 4 Dead 2's Dead Center loading screen and its four survivors in a window titled Roblox.

Who built them, and how

The builders haven't said. KreekCraft claimed that "PS4 games are being ported over using AI." Gameranx called that "the elephant in the room". It added: "AI can't vibe code its way around copyrights". Windows Central admitted: "I have no idea what's going on under the hood here."

KreekCraft also warned: "Roblox is going to get sued." Seven hours later he posted: "Roblox just deleted all the ported games." HappyGamer reported that "Roblox hasn't given a reason". We found no Roblox statement either.

Still live

Two follow-ups were still public when we checked Roblox's API on October 29 at 8 AM ET.

  • blox ring by enseass: "Elden Ring ported to Roblox with working multiplayer," he posted. It's "just the first boss" for now. Roblox listed 48,676 visits.
  • X-Blocks 360 by Redwing Works: a Metro dashboard "rebuilt in Roblox", created Oct 27 at 8:47 PM ET. Its page reads "Fan-made tribute — not affiliated NO DMCA PLEASEEEEE". Roblox listed 29,176 visits.

enseass said he "just published for fun and fell asleep". KreekCraft then offered "1 Million Robux to any kid who beats Elden Ring on Roblox". Given how fast the first wave went, that bounty may not have long.
